Course Introduction and Description:
Royal Cromer Golf Club was founded in 1888 and immediately attained royal status through the patronage of the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII.
Originally designed by Tom Morris, and with improvements over the years it is now widely regarded as one of Norfolk's finest courses.
It is essentially cliff top in character and boasts all the features of a coastal course with a wealth of sandy hills, grassy valleys and abundant gorse and bracken.
The signature hole, the 14th, has a fully operational lighthouse making it most attractive, but don't be fooled by the scenery as it's one of the trickiest holes on the course. The bracing conditions provided by the wind only add to the enjoyment of the round and make it a challenge to golfers of all levels.
